Slowheart is the third studio album by American country music artist Kip Moore, released on September 8, 2017, through MCA Nashville. The album's lead single, "More Girls Like You", was released on February 10, 2017. Following the release and touring behind 2015's Wild Ones, Moore took time off to travel, surf and write music. He tells Rolling Stone that Slowheart falls "somewhere between Americana, rock and the evocative storytelling of country.
Slowheart is Kip Moore’s third studio album following Wild Ones and his first album Up All Night, released on the 8th of September 2017. He detailed his reasoning for the album because of his struggles with fame and his passed failed singles.
Kip Moore, who hasn't released an album since 2015, has just announced that his third album, Slowheart, will drop on Sept. 9. If you were paying attention to his last album and tour, that means, by Sept. 9, Moore fans will have memorized the lyrics to almost every track. Radio time and awards don't matter to Moore's fans - and likely, he hasn't got as much as he deserved in either regard. Lack of notoriety hasn't stopped him from putting out critically acclaimed music in the past, and Slowheart is looking to be his best yet: raw and unrivaled in its honesty.
Delivered just two years later, Slowheart is the record Moore has been attempting to make all along: a big-sounding, big-hearted album that's as much Midwestern rock as it is modern country. Moore made this progression by taking the reins into his own hands, seizing control of the production, and co-writing all but two of the record's 13 songs, with the remaining two brought to him by songwriter Luke Dick.
Moore consciously framed his new album, Slowheart, as the product of his independent spirit: a thoroughly vital, 13-song collection he insisted on producing mostly on his own after hiking Iceland, surfing Costa Rica and spending a lot of time in his own head.
Just Another Girl, 03:47. I've Been Around, 03:37. Bittersweet Company, 03:28. More Girls Like You, 02:34.
Kip Moore’s third album, Slowheart, ends with a song that looks at where he began: Guitar Man. It’s an almost six-minute ode to the delirious highs and gut-wrenching lows of a musician’s existence, told through the story of a guy he spotted one night at a bar, singing for his supper. Moore delivers the LP’s closing track on a stripped-down recording, done all in one take.
Up All Night is the first studio album by the American country music artist Kip Moore. It was released on April 24, 2012, by MCA Nashville. The album includes the number one single, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck". In 2017, the album was certified Platinum in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Up All Night received generally positive reception from music critics.
