Of Someday Shambles is the second studio album by Australian alternative rock band Jebediah. It was recorded between April and June 1999 and was produced by Mark Trombino. It was released on 3 October 1999 by record label Murmur. It peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and, by December of the following year, it received a Platinum certification from ARIA.
Jebediah is the third studio album by Australian alternative rock band Jebediah. It was recorded at Mangrove Studios, outside Sydney with producer Magoo, and released on 3 March 2002 by record label Murmur. The album debuted at No. 8 on the ARIA Albums Chart and remained in the top 50 for five weeks. Jebediah was recorded from June to August 2001 at Mangrove Studios, outside Sydney, with production by Magoo (Regurgitator, Spiderbait, Midnight Oil).
McFarlane noted that it "was brimming with youthful exuberance and feisty, melodic, guitar-based fuzzy punk-pop perfectly suited to the post-grunge. In July 2004 Jebediah issued their fourth studio album, Braxton Hicks, which was produced by the band itself and appeared on their own record label, Redline Records, distributed by Shock Records. Redline Records had been set up in July 2000 with their then-manager, Heath Bradby, of Naked Ape Management. The album is named for the intermittent weak.
Of Someday Shambles (LP, Album). Big Wheel Recreation. Decent pressing, a bit noisy and probably stretching out a single vinyl, but great to own nonetheless. However, my version is missing 'Run of the Company'.
On Of Someday Shambles, Jebediah makes noisy emo-pop that, for the most part, indulges the sweet tooth of younger kids still aiming to assert some type of aggression. The songwriting, though not the strongest suit for these four youngsters, comes across as sophomoric but isn't entirely bad, as some of the changes take unpredictable twists and turns. The biggest problem that Jebediah faces is that they occasionally fall prey to certain Green Dayisms.
ALBUM: OF SOMEDAY SHAMBLES (US), 2000 He's coming round tonight Catching the train out Started work today It's no fun but it pays One thing that you're sure of He won't ever let you down S'posed to leave at eight But the sitters late Times run out to go To that Even show One thing that. you're sure of He won't ever let you down He could never hurt you But it's so much to get involved I drowned in glory to tell this story Of self denial and choices final He was there for you When your ex shot through But can you really count On him sticking round?
