Fluxion - Vibrant Forms III Since Fluxion's Vibrant Forms II came out on Basic Channel's Chain Reaction label 16 years ago, the Greek producer, real name Konstantinos Soublis, has released a fair few singles and albums. His music has offered subtle variations on the dub techno blueprint he established in 1999 with the first Vibrant Forms. But without the vocals that made 2014's Broadwalk Tales his most human album, or many of the house inflections of 2010's Perfused, Vibrant Forms III sounds as if it's compiled from the same sessions as its predecessor

Fluxion is a pseudonym of Konstantinos Soublis (aka K. Soublis), an electronic music producer from Athens Greece. Fluxion's music includes different genres of electronic music, ambient, dub, experimental, techno, with sound design. His music has a characteristic of slowly evolving parts and contemplating elements which form lengthy musical pieces. His sounds are heavily processed to a point where the origin of a sound has little to do with the end result.
Fluxion's Vibrant Forms II is basically a continuation of the sounds and ideas presented on the first disc, Vibrant Forms (natch). I couldn't really explain just what makes the second chapter so much better than the first, but it really is. I've had this album for two weeks and haven't been able to pry it from my CD player. Unlike many electronic CDs of the miniamlist form, I am familiar with the separate pieces (though I don't actually know the titles). Vibrant Forms II is indeed vibrant, and lulls the listner into a spinning womb of sound. This album is best for times of quiet introspection, but if you use it as a soundtrack for sleep, you'll be missing out on some interesting sounds. Instead, use the zen approach and listen to this album while fully awake and focused. There's a lot more going on in Vibrant Forms II than you might think. 10 people found this helpful.
