Tell Me (You're Coming Back)" is a song by English rock band The Rolling Stones, featured on their 1964 self-titled album (later referred to as England's Newest Hit Makers in the US). It was later released as single A-side in the US & Canada only, becoming the first Jagger/Richards song that the band released as a single A-side, and their first record to enter the US Top 40. The single reached in the US and in Sweden. It was not released as a single in the UK.

My copy of The Rolling Stones’ debut album. The change of colour on the left is where the laminate has peeled away slightly. Well, it is over 50 years ol. .Tell Me was the result – not the greatest song you’ll ever hear, to be frank, but was the only Jagger/Richards song that made it onto the first LP. 5. The album best captures the early Stones R&B sound: The album, released in April 1964, sold 100,000 advance copies, knocking With The Beatles off top spot (albeit that had been released in the previous November). It stayed at number one for twelve weeks.

Tell Me" was the first notable Rolling Stones recording of original material, and their first American Top 40 hit in mid-1964. It was a pop/rock ballad and rather atypical of their music of the time, which largely consisted of blues, R&B, and soul covers. It should be pointed out, however, that the Rolling Stones, even in 1964, were more versatile and open toward non-blues-rooted music than is often acknowledged by critics. Tell Me" covers are not too easy to come by, but a fairly raw one did come out in 1965 by the obscure teenage girl duo the Termites, and was reissued on the Girls in the Garage, Vol. 2 compilation.
