The Jazz Scene ‎(6x12", Album, Ltd, Num). Jazz Scene ‎(LP, Comp, Mono, Ltd). American Recording Society. The Jazz Scene ‎(2xCD, Comp, RE, RM).

Various ‎– The Jazz Scene. Label: Mercury ‎– none. 78-rpm album-folio with a sturdy cloth cover, built like a loose leaf notebook so that the contents may be removed if desired. these are "unbreakable"). by Norman Granz on title page.

In this amazing Trilogy, we´ve collected the best of these women singer performances as a 41 song selection. Great singers such as Karen Souza, Sarah Menescal, Flora Martínez, Urselle, Stella Starlight, Anakelly and Cassandra Beck among many others give incredible jazz versions of hits of Santana, U2, Oasis, Pharrell Williams, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Duran Duran and many others. Hope you´ll enjoy it.

In 1949, producer Norman Granz released a remarkable album of 78s that consisted of a dozen selections (many of them specially recorded for the occasion) that perfectly summed up the modern jazz scene of the time.

Various types of jazz-funk-rock fusion comprise the remainder of this collection. The music of Thing, whose sole privately- released album was reissued in its entirety by Porter Records in 2008, reflects the massive influence that Miles Davis' electric music had on many up-and-coming jazz musicians at the time. Yet, Boston's creative music scene is sufficiently deep that several more such collections could easily be assembled. Cultures of Soul and Mark Harvey are to be commended for putting together this compilation in a way that honors the entire scene and places it into a broader perspective.
